Welcome to the Oculoplastics section of EyeSurgeryVideos.net, which contains ultra-high quality, narrated, eyelid, lacrimal and orbital surgery eye surgery videos.
These videos are designed to demonstrate and explore a wide range of surgical techniques and procedures and will hopefully be of benefit to even the most experienced surgeons. It covers the full spectrum of procedures in these fields but has a particular focus on endoscopic lacrimal (eg. DCR), orbital surgery (eg. orbital decompression for thyroid eye disease) and eyelid reconstruction (eg following tumour excision). The videos will take you from the most basic procedures such as local anaesthetic injection to the most complex such as endoscopic orbital decompression.
All surgeons do things differently and this website aims to avoid surgical dogma and avoids the use of ‘in my hands’ or ‘this is how we do it’. It instead explores and demonstrates the many procedures and their relevant anatomy, technique, instruments and complications that you might use and encounter in your ophthalmological surgical practice. It also highlights the tips, pearls and pitfalls that are often lost in textbooks and are best seen on film.
We hope you enjoy the website and that it supports and aids your surgical practice. This website is entirely not for profit and all the contents are open access.
